The story is about two people, Louisa Clark and Will Traynor, who, against all odds, get into each other's lives and change it in ways they both never thought possible.
Louisa is hired on a six month contract to take care of Will, an adventurous and very wealthy young man who, due to a tragic accident, became quadriplegic and no longer sees the joy in life. As every good love story, they can't stand each other at first an in pretty much every dialogue between them Will uses sarcasm against Louisa in a way to shut her off and push her away. But things soon start to change when Louisa discovers the whole reason behind why she is even there (considering she had no experience taking care of people with such needs) and why her contract would expire in six months - Will wants to go to Switzerland, to a special clinic and commit assisted suicide, and the six months was the time he gave his parents before they go.
Louisa Clark sees herself on a mission to change Will's mind and show that there's still much more to his life than just the wheel chair. Every time while reading it I laughed, cried and stopped breathing countless times. It truly is one of those books you just lose yourself in for hours. 100% recommend and guarantee you won't regret it.
On the 3rd of June the movie adaptation was released in the UK, starring Emilia Clarke (Louisa Clarke) and Sam Claflin (Will Traynor). Even though I still haven't had the chance to see it, I heard these actors truly do justice to the story and the characters. Knowing their work I have no doubt about that and I really cannot wait to see it and experience this story on a whole different level.
